D/N build I'm tinkering with
A build for basic pug PvE
D/N
5 death
16 scyth (head + superior)
9 earth (minor)
9 mysticism (minor)
weapon: zealous scythe of enchanting
armor: + armor
Skills:
Aura of the lich (lasts 30 seconds with 5 death and 20% longer enchants)
faithful intervention
heart of fury
mystic regeneration
mystic sweep
victorious sweep
chilling victory
signet of pious light/resurrect
When using aura of the lich, you take half damage from all sources except degeneration. Good thing dervishes are capable of insane regen with mystic regeneration.
Cast faithful intervention first thing when you load.
Put up AotL as soon as you begin a fight,
heart of fury when you start attacking,
mystic regeneration when you need health
3 attacks are pretty self explanatory,
signet of pious light is your emergency button. If you use this on AotL you get both bonusses, about +150 form AotL and +90 from the signet. Not to mention your health doubles back to normal.
if you have 50 health with AotL on and you use pious light, it is pretty much a full self heal.
I decided to post this because I would like to open some eyes to the possibilities of AotL, as well as ask for suggestions for improvement.
Yours truly, Grandmaster

Looks like a pretty interesting build. Too bad I won't be getting AotL any time soon on my Dervish.

I know what you mean, only place to cap it is the last mission of part1. Funny thing is, I went through all the missions from lions arch and capped this faster than I could beat the gate of madness mission. It is just so rediculously hard to get into a team as a dervish there, it was easier to complete prophesies than that one mission.
I guess I'll have to wait a little for others to cap the skill before I can get some feedback

I don't see how any Derv is going to get through Ring of Fire mission meh... Mursaat Tower = no enchantments and no energy
You won't be let in by PuGs and henches just don't cut it against the towers and bosses bundled together.

Neat build. just one comment I think noone had seen:
-AotL + victorious sweep/chilling victory = fail (you won´t have the health to trigger the bonus, so it´s useless)
Since you´re going necro secondary, why don´t you bring wearing strike + plague touch. That would be WAY more usefull...

Good point! I feel dumb now for not seeing that lol. I was wondering why those bonusses never triggered ^-^
I'll experiment with a few different attacks, including the wearying strike combo.
As for solus_the_deadly's comment,
I realise the avatar's potential, and they are certainly favorable in special circumstances. (dwayna for hex heavy areas, ect.) I just find the downtime of avatars very, very hard to swallow. AotL I can keep up permanently.
My build right now is:
D/N
5 death
16 scyth (head + superior)
9 earth (minor)
9 mysticism (minor)
weapon: zealous scythe of enchanting
armor: + armor
Skills:
Aura of the lich (lasts 30 seconds with 5 death and 20% longer enchants)
faithful intervention
heart of fury
mystic regeneration
mystic sweep
wearying strike
plague touch
signet of pious light/resurrect
Has anyone else tried AotL on his dervish yet?

This looks like a nice build. Have you tried this on pvp b4? I guess the main problem is with health degen in such a build. But the suggestion on plage touch is really good tho. At least, we are not restricted by the health of the enemy to apply
Personally, I am tempted to try Avatar of Lyssa with Meekness. Anyone has any suggestion?

looks pretty good, beats the hell out of an avatar build at least.
